Breakfast from the Farm Activation Reports

Breakfast from the Farm is a family-friendly event series that brings agriculture to life for urban and suburban Ontarians by creating meaningful opportunities to meet local farmers and learn how food is grown and produced close to home. The goal is to build trust, confidence, and pride in Ontario’s food system through authentic, hands-on experiences and a strong representation of modern agriculture.

With a target audience of families and curious consumers, Breakfast from the Farm blends a welcoming food experience with interactive exhibits, live demonstrations, and engaging conversations with farmers and food producers. Guests can get up close with farm animals like dairy cows and beef cattle, see tractors and modern farm equipment in action, explore exhibits about where food comes from, and connect directly with farmers to learn about life on the farm today.

The series runs three times per year, with two traditional on-farm events that offer a behind-the-scenes look at modern agriculture. The third takes the experience beyond the farm gate and adapts seamlessly into high-traffic public spaces and festivals. Past activations have successfully integrated into major events such as the Elmira Maple Syrup Festival, KW Oktoberfest, and Toronto’s Union Station, demonstrating the flexibility and broad appeal of the concept in both rural and urban settings.

As an activation, Breakfast from the Farm offers a unique opportunity to transform your space into an engaging, educational, and memorable experience that connects people to the story of their food while showcasing Ontario agriculture in a modern and approachable way.
