You'll have the opportunity to learn about the fascinating world of agriculture and witness firsthand the incredible variety of food produced right here in Ontario. Experts, including farmers and agricultural groups, will be on hand to provide insights and answer any questions you may have, for an engaging and enlightening experience for all.
Meet the Louwagie family.
The Louwagie family would like to welcome you to their farm. Hillmanor Holsteins has been in the Louwagie family since 1960. Their farm that is home to 340 animals and the modern dairy farm showcases innovation and technology used in agriculture today. In 2022, Hillmanor Farms was recognized as one of the top 25 best-managed dairy herds in Canada.
On September 14, the Louwagie family welcomes you to visit Hillmanor Holsteins and witness firsthand how robots seamlessly handle tasks such as milking and feeding, reflecting the Louwagie family's commitment to efficiency and sustainability. Visitors will be able to tour the recently built dairy barn that prioritizes animal comfort and the environment. The barn equipped with solar panels, is able to provide more than half of the power required by the farm.
Guests of the Louwagies will be treated to an all-Ontario breakfast, farm tour, visits to interactive educational displays, family photo ops and a lot of fun!
