SOIL HEALTH

HEALTHY SOIL IS THE FOUNDATION OF ONTARIO'S AGRI-FOOD SECTOR.

In Ontario, farmers are blessed with a diversity of soil types and climate conditions that allow them to grow a wide variety of crops. They face common challenges such as building soil organic matter and fertility – but also deal with conditions unique to their topography, climate, and geographic location.

Follow along with Ontario farmers to learn how they address economic and soil health challenges on their farms, each using their own unique approach, and to see how they’re prioritizing soil health on the land they care for.
