"New-Life Mills appreciates the work that Farm & Food Care Ontario does in building public trust with the consumers about food, farming and agriculture. Semex
Gold Members
"Semex joined Farm & Food Care Ontario as a Gold level member in the spring of 2018. We asked Michael and Karen from Semex how an FFCO membership works for them! Why is Semex a member of Farm & Food Care Ontario? "Semex is a partnership of Canadian-owned cattle breeding cooperatives. As we have grown, we’ve realized that we need to think beyond our immediate customer base (farmers) and begin thinking about how we present ourselves to the end consumer of dairy products. FFCO offered a ready-built network of farm organizations that was important for us to learn from and work with."

"Mushrooms Canada has been a member of Farm & Food Care Ontario since 2015. Year after year, we continue to see real value in our membership. The job of feeding Canadians, as well as the world, is no easy feat and it is essential that organizations like FFCO exist to help in bridging the knowledge gap around how food gets from the farm to our dinner tables. We are thrilled to be a part of impactful projects such as the Faces Behind Food campaign, in-person farm tours, Breakfast on the Farm and most importantly, the Farm Food 360 Virtual Farm Tour series."

Ontario Mutual Insurance Association
Silver Member
"We kind of joined Farm & Food Care (FFCO) by “accident”, but it was an accident of the best kind! As a trade association of mutual farm insurers, we were looking for a speaker on current issues facing our policyholders on the farm. That led us to FFCO and we discovered the important work that was going on in promoting many things that Canadians can take for granted: food security, the agriculture sector’s huge contribution to the economy, environmental farm issues, social license…..the list goes on."

Lindsay Agricultural Society
Supporter Member
The Lindsay Agricultural Society (LAS) was founded in 1854 and later began hosting the Lindsay Central Exhibition as a way to promote growth and advancement in the local agricultural community through competition. As the urban population in Kawartha Lakes began to expand and move away from direct involvement with agriculture, the mandate of the LAS shifted to include promoting agriculture awareness and providing agriculture education whenever possible, with emphasis on engaging with the local urban population during the Lindsay Exhibition (LEX).

We are individual members of Farm & Food Care Ontario because we believe in the importance of bridging the knowledge and cultural gap between farmers and consumers. We, along with consumers, share similar values such as caring about the environment and animals, thinking about food quality/safety and trying to do what is right for the world. The resources and events that FFCO produces work towards engaging with consumers to earn trust in how food is produced.

Bellson Farms
Supporter Member
"The Campbell family, of Bellson Farms, are dairy farmers and long-time friends and supporters of Farm & Food Care Ontario. We asked Andrew why a Farm & Food Care membership is important to them. The Farm & Food Care movement is one of the most important ones for today's farmer, and one of the least understood. By supporting an organization that builds connection, alliances, resources and tools that we can all access to improve our skills as communication, we can build awareness and understanding that will help sustain the future of this industry."

Dr. June Mathews
Supporter Member
"It is important for us to support organizations that are providing credible information about food and farming. As current and future health care professionals, whether we are obtaining informed consent for intervention in clinical practice or describing various methods of food productions to the public, we must respectfully provide accurate and objective information so that our patients and/ or public can make medical and food decisions based on facts."

Its important to show how much farmers care about quality, and sustainability of our food system. For those in agriculture that are discouraged about misinformation and mistrust they hear about our food system getting involved with or investing time/or money in a group like FFCO will help proactively overcome these concerns."

"To further strengthen that “farm to fork” relationship, Jim served as a director on Farm and Food Care Ontario and Jim and Judy’s farm operation continues to be a supporter member of FFCO. “The Gowland’s” philosophy is that any type of agricultural business needs to interact through respectful listening, positive dialogue and to continue building a genuine trust with the public consumer and related stakeholders. For Jim and Judy, Farm and Food Care Ontario is definitely that united voice of a very proud agriculture and agri-food industry in this country."

Jayne Miller
Individual member
"Our family appreciates the work that Farm & Food Care Ontario does in building public trust with the consumers about food, farming and agriculture. As Canadians get ever more removed from the farm, it is becoming increasingly important that consumers understand where their food comes from and the care, dedication and hard work of the farmers who produce it. As a long time volunteer of the Bite of Brant program and Paris Agricultural Society Ag Awareness Committee, I see firsthand how important it is to get this message out to the general public. Engaging the consumer with knowledgeable and accurate information about food quality, animal care and the environment, is critically important work. It’s encouraging to know that FFCO is an important part of the effort to meet that need."
